Maryam is the CEO and founder of OvoLife, a pioneering social egg freezing campaign that advocates for women’s autonomy over their fertility. With a BSc in Biology, an MSc in Clinical Embryology, and a PhD in Women’s and Reproductive Health from the University of Oxford, she has built a solid academic and professional foundation. Her extensive training as an embryologist, combined with her academic expertise and registration with the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, positions her as a leading figure in reproductive health.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Maryam brings a deeply personal perspective to her work. As a new mother to a daughter, she understands firsthand the challenges of balancing career, studies, and pregnancy. Her own experiences navigating motherhood while pursuing an ambitious academic and professional career have further fueled her passion for empowering women to make informed fertility decisions. Through OvoLife, Maryam combines her scientific expertise with her personal commitment to advocacy. She believes that access to fertility preservation options, such as egg freezing, is essential for women to have the freedom and flexibility to shape their own reproductive futures, on their own terms.
