Ana is a medical doctor from Slovenia, with a deep passion for advancing women’s health and fertility. After earning her medical degree in 2019, she completed her clinical training and moved to Zurich to work as a medical writer. She pursued a PhD at the Nuffield Department of Women’s and Reproductive Health, where she investigated the immunological factors behind endometriosis-associated subfertility. This research has further fueled her dedication to understanding and addressing the challenges women face with fertility.
Ana’s interest in reproductive health is closely tied to her goal of becoming a gynecologist, where she aims to help women navigate their fertility options. In addition to her medical career, Ana is actively involved in public engagement initiatives focused on women’s health. She has organized panel discussions on the ethical aspects of uterus transplantation and collaborates on endometriosis peer support projects. As an Honourable Member of Endozavest, a Slovenian endometriosis awareness and support group, Ana remains a strong advocate for increasing awareness and support for women dealing with reproductive health challenges. With her background and dedication, Ana is committed to helping women worldwide.
